Language: Klingon
The Klingon Language was derived from the language spoken by a race of aliens (Klingons) in Star Trek. The language's basic design was created by the actor James Doohan for Star Trek: the Motion Picture. In 1984, Marc Okrand published the book, The Klingon Dictionary, this helped give a reference to the alien language. A select number of people can fluently speak Klingon because of its vocabulary is heavily centered on Star Trek Klingon concepts like spacecraft or warfare. There are four Klingon translations of literature. This includes, Gilgamesh, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing and Tao Te Ching. CBS has full rights to the Star Trek language and the dictionary established for Klingon. Artificial languages have since become popular in other subcultures, including Game of Thrones. Klingon allows Trekkies from across the world to communicate in a common and unique language. Not all Trekkies learn Klingon, but all can recognize it and most have learned the basics.
